The RJMFM Internship program was developed to honor the contribution of Robert Jones to Sodexo and to the field of facilities management. The program offers an exciting opportunity for currently enrolled college students to turn their leadership potential into valuable professional experience and to get a head start on their careers. The training program will focus on Total Facilities Management, including Energy Management, Custodial, Grounds, and Construction.  Each intern will have the opportunity to meet with Sodexos Chief Executive Officer of Schools, Stephen Dunmore.

Through practical work experience on site, this intern will acquire the management skills necessary to succeed as a Facilities Manager with Sodexo. This internship will be designed around the student's interests and the selected intern will be assigned a MENTOR and participate in professional development webinars.


Finally, they will conduct peer training and assist the management team as needed with ordering supplies, quality assurance checks and controlling inventory. Interns are supervised by, and report to a General Manager.


This internship is located at Shaw University in the heart of downtown Raleigh, North CarolinaS. While Sodexo does not offer housing to interns at this time, the RJMFM provides a small stipend to provide assistance with relocation and living expenses.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Current college student with studies in hospitality/food management, facilities management, engineering, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing or another industry related college program.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
