Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:
  • 10 Years IT Experience
  • 5 years in Risk Management Experience
  • 3 years experience with escalation management
  • Ability to interact comfortably with Senior Government Leadership and Team members on a day-to-day basis
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential)
  • Strong project management experience (e.g., defining scope, setting project timelines and milestones, driving deliverables, identifying risks, managing issues, and client relationship management)
  • Established experience in understanding client needs, translating business needs into requirements, developing proposed solutions, and delivering high impact change initiatives.

Education/Certifications/Clearance:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline (or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Current VA PIV card, VA GFE Laptop, and VA network access, would be helpful
  • Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust

Responsibilities

This role will serve as part of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the implementation, integration and sustainment of a fully integrated supply chain solution that provides the full spectrum of medical logistics. The Supply Chain delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.

This team will be focused on implementing a scalable to support accelerated site deployment, while at the same time supporting integration with additional VA systems and sustainment of current integrations.

The team will have a blend of specific expertise and experience in SAFe Agile, Product Management, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), engineering, and Data Migration.

The Risk Manager will conduct risk assessments and lead initiatives across stakeholders to improve and maintain compliance controls. They will understand a broad range of risk methodologies to efficiently develop and maintain compliance programs. The RM will maintain daily metrics to report on compliance health checks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, including process changes to meet team goals. The RM will work to understand stakeholder needs and clarify business procedures, current tooling and related risk mitigation requirements. The RM will drive productive discussions with those supporting the risk area (e.g. team members, compliance operations) and escalate appropriately.

  • Developing periodic business reviews by creating and monitoring business metrics to track process effectiveness
  • Communicates risk posture and projects information to stakeholders
  • Organized, independent, and autonomous, able to set and meet own deadlines, and operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems; identifying customer needs and inventing new and efficient ways to meet those needs
  • Excellent written communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong organizational and project management capabilities.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $53,976.00
Colorado Salary Maximum:$115,377.60
