Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for a dynamic and detailed-oriented Retail Manager 3 to oversee front of house operations at a high-end cafe within corporate services in midtown Manhattan. We are looking for candidates with a background in operations, hospitality skills, financial acumen, and customer service experience.


Responsibilities include managing the daily food operations, ensuring HACCP programs and safety requirements are met, menu/recipe compliance and implementation, catering, cash-handling procedures, finances, HR functions including staff training and scheduling and ordering and inventory.  Also, successful candidate will maintain a high level of client satisfaction! This position will report directly to a General Manager and will directly supervise up to 20 frontline (hourly) union employees. We are looking for strong retail candidates to help grow this business.

In addition this candidate will have management experience, solid knowledge of HAACP/food sanitation, excellent client relations and leadership skills.  Will also have a passion for providing excellent customer service, hospitality focused and the ability to interact with the client daily.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.Key Duties- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery. - Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers. 




Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
