Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 2 (Starbucks Manager) for Loyola University in New Orleans, LA.  Loyola University New Orleans is a Jesuit and Catholic institution of higher education.  Loyola sits on 24 acres of historic oak-lined St. Charles Avenue in Uptown New Orleans; directly across from Audubon Park.  Loyola Dining/Sodexo operates resident dining, retail dining and catering services. The Orleans Room, our resident dining hall, is as warm as a home dining room offering tasty, well-balanced meals at ten cooking stations with many dishes made-to-order. Our retail food options include a full service Starbucks and a food court consisting of Subway, Smoothie King, The Original Burger Company, The Orleans Room TO GO, The Market Convenience Store and freshly made sushi.  Loyola Catering offers full service event catering both on and off campus.    

 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have previous Starbucks management experience as well as Starbucks training/certification
  • lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes; and/or
  • train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.Key Duties- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery. - Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.   

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements
