Resource Management Lead

Description:

The Resource Management Lead, reporting to the DHAGSC Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, is responsible for coordinating the capture, onboarding, and staff development activities for GSC staff needed to meet and exceed contract service objectives. The primary responsibility is to ensure resource availability levels and compliance to customer service, technical support, call handling, and process and policy/procedure adherence standards. The Resource Management Lead works with corporate recruiting, business management, and partner staffing representatives to coordinate the identification of candidates to fill open GSC staffing needs. In addition the Resource Management Lead works with GSC Admin and Training Leads to ensure new candidates are appropriately on boarded to support GSC contract requirements. Once the new resources have been appropriately trained and on boarded, the Resource Management Lead works to submit all appropriate access requests for GSC staff to gain access to corporate and customer systems, obtain the appropriate tools and software to accomplish the assigned duties, and to coordinate the transition of staff internally from partner companies to Perspecta employment. For Perspecta staff specifically, the Resource Management Lead will be responsible for working with new Perspecta staff to get acclimated to Perspecta corporate resources, timecard tracking, and benefits. In this capacity they will be responsible for developing onboarding material and delivering acclimation briefings for new employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Track all open positions for GSC staff and be able to report accurately on the status of new candidates that are identified for the open positions.
  • Work with corporate and partner recruiting teams to schedule candidate interviews and accelerate the identification and placement of candidates to open positions.
  • Reinforce adherence of new staff to Service Center policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive team environment and seamless communication within the Service Center leadership teams and external support resources.
  • Submit administrative and access requests for new candidates as needed to ensure appropriate in-processing with corporate and customer operations.
  • Coordinate with GSC leadership and support team leaders to promote clear communications regarding new employees and their progress through onboarding and training.
  • Manage the communications around employee departures to GSC leadership and initiate resource replacement actions as necessary.
  • Communicate with new staff and assist with acclimation training and related activities.
  • Provide input to the preparation of onboarding materials and ensure the delivery of these materials to the new candidates.
  • Ensure new employee compliance with timecard tracking requirements
  • Ensure smooth transition of new employees to Service Operation.
  • Coordinate with partner staffing firms on the transition of employees from temp to perm status with Perspecta.
  • Support the management team with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills:
Strong customer service and communications skills, both oral and written.
Strong critical thinking skills that facilitate service delivery methodology innovation.
Proven project management skills in setting priorities to meet project deadlines.
Strong knowledge of Service Desk support environments.
Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to establish a solid working relationship with customer, staff, managers and peers.
Proven technical competency in the following areas:
Microsoft Office 2007 Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Microsoft Visio and Project 2007
BMC Remedy version 8.x

Requirements:
Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or the ability to obtain one.
5+ years of proven resource management experience.
College degree or additional related years of experience in resource management
ITILv3/v4 Foundations Certification (preferred).
