Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Residential Care Specialist Supervisor to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

Under the supervision of the Program Director and Program Manager, the RCS Supervisor assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the orientation experience and skill obtainment of the RCS staff in relation to maintaining the therapeutic program. RCS Supervisors oversees the daily milieu functioning under the direction of the Program Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Satisfactorily completes all duties/responsibilities of a Residential Care Specialist job description.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Residential Services and Residential Program Manager, identifies problems of time, attendance, and job performance of the RCS staff and assists in the developing plan of action to resolve these problems.
  • Administers medication correctly
  • Supervises RCS in completion of identified tasks and assumes responsibility for ensuring that completion.
  • Keeps Program Manager appraised of all aspects of RCS performance.
  • Assists in orientation of new RCSs to unit/program philosophy.
  • As delegated by the Director and/or Program Manager, identifies and conducts needed in-services to comply with job tasks and program expectations.
  • Maintains resident assignment and completes tasks as directed by the Director and/or Program Manager.
  • In conjunction with Director and/or Program Manager, completes and delivers employee performance evaluations and competency assessments.
  • Attends weekly treatment team conferences and provides input as directed by the Director and/or Program Manager.
  • As delegated by Director and/or Program Manager, gives report at shift change.
  • Under the direction of the Director and/or Program Manager, assists in maintaining safe staffing standards within the program.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • If High School diploma, must have 4 years experience in child caring institution.
  • Attains minimum of two years of college and 3 years experience in child caring institution, Bachelors degree and 2 years experience in child caring institution, preferred.
  • Experience on an inpatient psychiatric/or Residential Treatment Program setting for two years, preferred.
  • At least an 18 month experience in RCS role or position commensurate to RCS role.
  • Experience in treating Impulse Disorder population, preferred. (On Impulse Disorder Unit)
  • Provision of satisfactory motor vehicle operation report.
