Sodexo Universities Segment is seeking a dynamic Resident District Manager to oversee food operations for a potential sale in the Sacramento area!  This position will report to the District Manager and will be responsible for managing the day to day food service operations. It requires strong strategic leadership, financial acumen, talent management, communication and project management skills.


 Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have at least ten years of consecutive employment in foodservice operations, including at least five years of complete management and financial responsibility.
  • Have previous success in managing a higher education/ University Campus account.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop exceptional client relationships, ensure the fulfillment of all contract commitments, as well as lead/motivate the management team.
  • Are well versed in culinary functions, food and labor cost control, food safety and sanitation
  • Have successful experience managing union employees.
  • Possess strong leadership skills, computer skills, culinary knowledge, and food/beverage cost controls.
  • Are technically competent in unit financial management, pricing, menu development and will be responsible for the training and development of front-line hourly employees and managers.
  • Possesses superior interpersonal skills, and will be able to articulate ideas, thoughts, opinions, professionally and clearly within all levels of client and Sodexo's organizations.

Position Summary

Functions as the central point of contact for one complex account with multiple locations, and possibly multiple contracts. Oversees performance of unit management including budget development, client relations, sales and profitability performance, conformance with company policies and procedures and staff training and development. Liaison between company resources and unit operating managers.
