This position reports to the Regional Manager and is tasked with the responsibilities outlined below. \u003Cstrong\u003E MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E70%- Drives overall operations of the Market, including personnel management, equipment maintenance and repair, rental performance of the fleet, Home Depot store and associate relationships, equipment delivery, revenue and expense control, and any other key performance areas as defined by the Regional Manager or Division Leader. \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E10%- Co-owns with Regional Manager the hiring and training of support staff, including Area Rental Managers (ARMs), Mobile Service Technicians (MSTs), Delivery Service Technicians (DSTs), and Shop Techs. \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E5%- Co-owns with Regional Manager the performance management of employees in the Market, including conducting annual performance reviews and ongoing performance conversations and documentation. \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E2%- Manages labor of field technicians to ensure appropriate technician coverage for the Market, including creation of work schedules and on call assignments, and management of employee overtime. \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E5%- Manages operational compliance of all tech work performed in the Market, including store inspections, lift inspections, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment deliveries, and new equipment deployment. \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E8%- Manages equipment maintenance and repair for the Market, ensuring that all fleet in assigned stores is properly maintained to maximize the rental-readiness and utilization of the equipment.\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C/p\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ENATURE AND SCOPE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThis role has no direct reports\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EEnvironment: \u003C/strong\u003E Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ETravel: \u003C/strong\u003E Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.\u003C/p\u003E\u003C/div\u003E\u003Cdiv data-field=\u0022Postion_Requirement\u0022 class=\u0022Requirement\u0022\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\u003C/strong\u003E Must be eighteen years of age or older.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHigh School diploma or GED Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. \u003Cstrong\u003E Additional Minimum Qualifications:\u003C/strong\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003E Education Required:\u003C/strong\u003E The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a associate\u0026rsquo;s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. \u003Cstrong\u003E Years of Relevant Work Experience: \u003C/strong\u003E3 years \u003Cstrong\u003E Physical Requirements:\u003C/strong\u003E Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPreferred Qualifications:\u003C/strong\u003E Associates Degree or higher preferred/ Technical or Trade School Three (3\u002B) years or more of management experience, rental industry experience is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to performance manage a team. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, doing what is necessary to exceed customer expectations, and optimize and grow the business. Ability to work collaboratively with store level and field level colleagues in order to create the best customer experience possible. Effective verbal and written communication with managers, customers and peers. Ability to interpret financial statements and performance reporting, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate operational changes in response. Working knowledge of key categories of rental equipment, including basic applications, features, benefits and safety issues. General knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems. Proficient in the use of MS Office products and technology ie: smart phone, laptop, tablet, desktop. Valid driver s license for the state in which you live and work.
