Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Respond to inquiries, requests and actions by regulators, including requests for assistance
  • ""
  • Complete internal regulatory reviews and submissions to document finds to regulators
  • ""
  • Handle other regulatory research, report generation, audits, corrective action plan oversight and review new laws/regulations/guidance
  • ""
  • Analyze and resolve policy and regulatory issues to meet both business and regulatory requirements and to protect our reputation with customers
  • "

This role requires you to be nimble as you work with government agencies as well as our highly matrixed business. Your communication skills will be put to the test when you provide high-level insight on regulatory changes and how they will affect different programs.

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience working in managed care and/or health insurance role
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience with claims processing, regulatory affairs, compliance or reimbursement
  • ""
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

  • Experience responding to inquiries from a variety of stakeholders (external customers, internal customers, executives and regulators)

  • Experience communicating complex information via phone conversations and emails to non-technical clients, external customers, internal customers and executives

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Adobe PDF and Adobe Acrobat Distiller
  • ""
  • Experience as a paralegal
  • ""
  • Self-starter who can work independently to meet time sensitive deliverables
  • ""
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • ""
  • Comfortable multitasking and managing conflicting priorities

  • Solid communication verbal and written skills
