What You'll Do

You will be responsible for growing Ciscos Data Center Product business in our GES East Area. You will set and execute the Data Center sales strategy. You will assume leadership of a high performing team of sales specialists, who develop, drive and close complex Data Center deals with Global Enterprise customers.

Overall objectives and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute on a strategic sales plan for the Area
  • Lead a highly motivated and energized sales team
  • Be the voice of Data Center Sales for the Area
  • Develop a strong grasp of the Data Center technology portfolio and competitive marketplace
  • Drive forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Partner with other sales specialist leaders to align industry focused solutions for your customers.
  • Cross-functionally align with the following organizations: Advanced Services, Other vertically focused or technology focused teams, Sales leadership (OD, RM, SSEM, SEM) and Marketing
  • Develop executive relationships across the customer base
  • Assist account teams in optimally packaging, pricing, and presenting solution to customer, including return on investment and value proposition



Who Youll Work With

You will manage a team of Data Center Sales Specialists in what is approximately a $600M Area today. Youll lead a team of approximately 10 professional sellers coordinating their work with other sales teams.



Who You Are

You have a minimum of 5 years of selling experience and demonstration of overachievement in demanding environments. Youll need to collaborate with account teams, finance, field sales, channels, business unit, customer advocacy and marketing personnel. You will coordinate work with extended team to identify and close opportunities. You will work with executive management to identify specific behaviors, knowledge, and skill areas for focus and evaluation of general sales team. Youll also develop and drive strategic sales activity and thought leadership around datacenter solutions through cross-functional collaboration with marketing, channels, product management and other advanced technologies
