The Safety Manager will be responsible for supporting Aramark and its internal Business Unit (BU) client organizations in the design, development and implementation of safety and risk control programs, processes and procedures to protect people, property, environment and company assets.  This position will functions as a strategic operational support generalist to enhance safety and risk process improvements.  Individual will also function as a key point of contact for addressing operational needs as they relate to all Global Safety & Risk Control functional areas. This person will be part of the Corporate Safety & Risk Team, reporting to the Director Safety & Risk Control

 

Job Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with Business Unit (BU) client groups at key leadership level (RVP, VPO, DM) and becoming integrated as part of these executive teams.
  • In partnership with BU client groups, directs process improvement to reduce risk and liability and exposure to adverse outcomes (i.e. occupational safety, general liability, food safety, property, environmental, new business risk assessment, large scale project start-up etc)
  • Assist with development and implementation of safety & risk program to drive continuous improvement in LOB safety and risk control performance. Specific focus will be on cultivating culture change and line management ownership/sponsorship for safety.
  • Will routinely represent Safety and Risk Control through presentations and communications with senior and location level management to educate, align and build consensus for loss improvement strategies and culture change.
  • Works collaboratively with S&RC peer and technical / subject matter expert support teams, on an as needed basis, to meet client needs.
  • Responsible for identifying accident causation and providing viable recommendations for preventing or controlling these issues. Will have responsibility to request deployment of S&RC resources, as necessary, to support BU clients in collaboration with existing S&RC technical and operational support model.
  • Will proactively communicate with supported internal clients to help drive improved safety, food safety, and environmental performance. Further, will serve as a \u201ccoach\u201d for internal clients to position them as primary sponsors of risk process improvements, which will include scripting of key management messages on a routine basis.
  • Supports Business Unit clients in maintaining compliance with broad group of National and Provincial regulatory agencies

 

Le ou la titulaire du poste de sp©cialiste principal en s©curit© sera responsable doffrir son soutien   Aramark et   unit©s op©rationnelles (clients) en ce qui a trait   la conception,   la cr©ation et   la mise en Å“uvre de programmes, processus et proc©dures de s©curit© et ma®trise des risques visant   prot©ger les personnes, les biens, lenvironnement et les actifs de lentreprise.  Le ou la titulaire du poste agira en tant que g©n©raliste en soutien strat©gique et op©rationnel et aura comme objectif de perfectionner lam©lioration des processus visant les risques et la s©curit©.  Cette personne sera ©galement un point de contact cl© pour r©pondre aux besoins op©rationnels li©s aux domaines fonctionnels touchant la s©curit© et la ma®trise des risques.

 

  • Elle sera responsable de cultiver des relations de travail efficaces avec les groupes de clients issus des unit©s op©rationnelles (UO) au niveau de la haute direction (VPR, VPO et DD) et de sint©grer   ces ©quipes de direction.
  • En partenariat avec les groupes des clients des UO, le ou la titulaire du poste dirigera lam©lioration des processus afin de r©duire les risques, les responsabilit©s et lexposition aux r©sultats d©favorables (c.- -d. s©curit© au travail, responsabilit© civile, salubrit© alimentaire, propri©t©s, environnement, ©valuation des risques associ©s aux nouveaux clients, d©marrage de projets de grande envergure, etc.).
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste appuiera la cr©ation et la mise en Å“uvre de documents sur les processus de s©curit© sur une base annuelle afin de favoriser lam©lioration continue du rendement des secteurs dactivit© en ce qui a trait   la s©curit© et   la ma®trise des risques. On accordera une grande importance   l'appui au changement de culture et aux responsabilit©s des directeurs op©rationnels en mati¨re de s©curit©.
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste repr©sentera fr©quemment S©curit© et ma®trise des risques gr¢ce   des pr©sentations et   des communications   lintention de la haute direction et de la direction des emplacements. Lobjectif sera dinformer les personnes, dharmoniser la vision et de g©n©rer un consensus en ce qui a trait au changement de culture et aux strat©gies de r©duction des pertes.
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste collaborera avec des coll¨gues de S©curit© et ma®trise des risques, des experts en la mati¨re et des experts techniques au sein d©quipes de soutien, au besoin, afin de r©pondre aux besoins des clients.
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste sera responsable du d©pannage li© aux causes des accidents et des responsabilit©s, et de formuler des recommandations r©alisables en vue de pr©venir ou de ma®triser les probl¨mes. Le ou la titulaire du poste sera responsable de demander que lon d©ploie les ressources de S©curit© et ma®trise des risques, selon le cas, afin daider les clients de UO conform©ment au mod¨le actuel de soutien technique et op©rationnel de S©curit© et ma®trise des risques.
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste communiquera de fa§on proactive avec les clients internes   qui on offre du soutien afin de favoriser une am©lioration du rendement en ce qui a trait   la s©curit©,   la salubrit© alimentaire et   lenvironnement. Le ou la titulaire du poste agira ©galement   titre de « coach Â» pour les clients internes afin que ces derniers jouent le r´le de principaux responsables de lam©lioration des processus li©s aux risques. Cela exigera de r©diger r©guli¨rement les messages importants de la direction.
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste offrira du soutien aux clients de UO en ce qui a trait au maintien de la conformit© aux exigences dun large groupe dorganismes de r©glementation nationaux et provinciaux.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an OHS professional.
  • Undergraduate University Degree / College Diploma in Health and Safety or a related Science.
  • Must be fully bilingual (English and French-Canadian), and comfortable with advanced communication, both oral and written, in both official languages.
  • Experience in customer services and/or client account management needed.
  • Strong proven problem solving, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent client relations, coaching/mentoring and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft software packages and database systems
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and have access to an automobile for business
  • Valid Passport and ability to support International events and/or operations if necessary.
  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial (minimum Quebec) and Federal Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, CSST legislation.
  • CRSP designation (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) is an asset.
  • Travel required up to 30%, across eastern canada.

  • Exp©rience en service   la client¨le ou gestion de comptes clients.
  • Excellentes comp©tences av©r©es en r©solution de probl¨mes, analyse et production de rapports.
  • Excellentes comp©tences en relations avec la client¨le, coaching, mentorat et promotion.
  • Ma®trise de lutilisation des suites logicielles et des syst¨mes de bases de donn©es de Microsoft.
  • Permis de conduire valide et acc¨s   un v©hicule pour les d©placements professionnels.
  • Passeport valide et capacit© dappuyer des activit©s ou ©v©nements internationaux.
  • Connaissance approfondie des lois et de la r©glementation f©d©rales et provinciales (au minimum, pour le Qu©bec) relatives   la sant© et   la s©curit© au travail, notamment en ce qui a trait   la CSST.
  • Le titre de professionnel en s©curit© agr©© constituera un atout.
  • Voyage requis jusqu'  30%, dans l'est du Canada.
