RAN Optimization Engineer
As a RAN Optimization Engineer, youll oversee the design engineering for our Radio Access Network (RAN) as well as Radio Frequency (RF) engineering. About 70% of your role will consist of design activities, but youll also use propagation models, predictive analysis, various process, and engineering principles to make additions and changes to the network in support of AT&Ts strategic objectives. Youll also conduct research trials to work through new development and innovations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Optimize wireless network to drive improvements in functionality, performance, and efficiency
+ Create design plans for network expansion and/or modification
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure engineering designs are implemented as intended and that quality issues are resolved in a timely manner
+ Test, collect and analyze data and modify it, as needed. This may include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) activities involving the analysis of RAN data to create design plans to improve all key indexes and performance indicators
+ Present to leadership on research and trials
Required Qualifications:
+ 3+ Years of Ericsson LTE and 5G Experience
+ In-Depth Knowledge of Ericsson RAN Functionalities for LTE and 5G as well as 5G Architecture
+ Vast Experience in Ericsson ENM/OSS including but not limited Configuration Management, Performance management & Automation
+ Proven Experience in conducting RAN Parameter Trials that result in significant improvement in RAN KPIs at a market level
+ Experienced in using Tableau and Power BI
+ _Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or Related Field_
Desired Qualifications:
+ Proven RAN Optimization Skills
+ Very Strong Experience in Ericsson LTE & 5G RAN Features Tuning, Parameters and Counters
+ Expert in Ericsson RAN Performance Troubleshooting and Improvement
+ Data crunching skills using Python, SQL and FME is highly desirable
+ Advanced degree in EE with focus on Telecommunications
