Job Description

The TDC Global Program Management team is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sr. Engineer Global Program Management. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in providing critical oversight and management to a wide variety of global programs that have been chartered within the TDC organization. The scope includes responsibilities for running high profile TDC programs, following and adjusting top TDC priorities, and generating insights and strategic choices that convert into action by providing solid recommendations to TDC associates and leadership. Additional accountabilities include budget management, driving AOP best practices within and across TDC teams in collaboration with category teams (Beverages and Foods), understanding TDC strategies to ensure TDC objectives are met within global programs, assisting with the TDC dashboard and scorecard, and representing TDC on process committees.

The TDC group, that this position supports, consists of the following Global R&D functions: Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Data & Digital Insights, and Sensory & Consumer Insights.

Qualifications/Requirements

This person must have the capacity to create strong working relationships with associates and senior leaders in TDC, R&D Finance, and R&D HR. Additional requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor or advanced scientific or engineering training is preferred. MBA is ideal but not required. Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
  • Must be comfortable bringing business and science perspective to contextualize opportunities (strong communication skills written and verbal)
  • Experience in defining and leading a progressive technical agenda as well as articulating technology roadmaps to provide a strategic set of choices
  • Is able to effectively deal with ambiguity and shift gears easily under uncertainty to absorb a heavy workload
  • Is results-driven, persistent, and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take on new challenges and works to resolve issues
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership on a regular basis
  • Brings an enthusiastic mindset and works collaboratively with teams within the TDC organization, across categories, and externally to deliver results
*This role can also be done from our Barrington, IL or Plano, TX locations
