The Quality Program Manager provides management of quality improvement program as a core service to Community & State Plans. The Manager works within highly matrixed relationships to ensure full implementation of the quality improvement program, including NCQA accreditation and HEDIS improvements. The quality improvement manager actively supports the RFP responses. This position develops and maintains strong relationships with state regulators as applicable. This position collaborates with multiple functions that may include Clinical, Physician Engagement, Member Experience, Benefit Design/Product, Compliance, Network, Behavioral Services, and Pharmacy as needed to drive the quality improvement program.

If you are located in Kentucky, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Travel throughout the state of KY required to meet with direct reports and internal and external business partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of plan quality improvement program
  • Responsible for developing and preparing documentation for NCQA and other accreditation surveys submissions
  • Continuously monitors HEDIS interim results and adjust programs to insure meeting targeted goals
  • Plan, implement and coordinate quality projects (PIPs) in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Manages Playbook or work plan programs and activities
  • Oversee the Quality Committee structure
  • Collaborates across business segments to achieve goals and targets
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships external state organizations within the scope of Quality Improvement
  • Participate in and support annual External Quality Review (EQR) activities
  • Reporting on the status of quality projects for the state and senior management.
  • Manage, coach and develop direct reports
  • Participates in or coordinates with other department projects as needed
  • Need to work independently and within an integrated team in a highly matrixed environment
  • May do additional duties as assigned
