Responsibilities

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Quality Management System for the contract. The Quality Manager acts as the primary point of contact on all quality process improvement efforts. The Quality Manager supports customer, business, program, and product success through analysis and application of reliability engineering, quality engineering, process engineering, failure analysis, business acumen, and continuous improvement knowledge and systems. The Quality Manager will need to effectively utilize the expertise of their team and hold them accountable to supporting quality improvement efforts. They must be agile and able to quickly work with their teams to identify and resolve issues as well as identify opportunities and take action to continuously improve results. They must be able to proactively and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization as well as customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop the systems, people, and teamwork within the quality organization that are needed to continuously improve the quality management system
Fully accountable for making sure the Quality Management System is functioning in an effective and efficient manner
Work collaboratively with Operations and Engineering to establish lean processes that provide predictable and repeatable results while achieving customer requirements in all elements of operational performance.
Aide operations in the implementation of systems, SOPs, and tools to improve process capability and reduce product variability
Track, communicate key metrics, drive improvement in the quality areas with ultimate goal of achieving total customer satisfaction
Develop critical competencies in team members through training, performance evaluations, and timely information feedback sessions

Qualifications

Requires BA/BS with 6 to 8 years of experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Incumbent will have a specialized knowledge in at least one specific area of professional endeavor.
