The Quality Director role has responsibility for food safety, product and package quality, regulatory adherence and consumer satisfaction throughout the supply chain for all locations in their respective area for plant and warehouse operations. The SC Quality Director works with the Vice President to continuously improve our Quality & Food Safety systems by reviewing current organizational performance, changing regulations and customer demands. This is achieved by providing technical support, training, Quality | Food Safety tools, robust standards, standardized procedures and support to locations to maintain the High-Quality products Pepsi consumers expect. The Director will work with field locations and distribution warehouses to provide guidance and development of their direct reports to improve Quality and Food Safety through the support of department initiatives.
Role / Responsibilities:
Protect the Pepsi-Cola Trademark and ensure product quality and safety
Drive Quality & Food Safety Initiatives through the support and coaching of employees that have responsibility for directly working with their respective producing plants and distribution warehouses
Monitor, report and improve quality & food safety performance in plants and warehouses in the respective area of responsibility

Support Productivity Initiatives
Develop programs and tools to monitor and drive continuous improvement
Coach and train personnel to develop leadership, technical competence and effectively utilize system tools
Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
Support the development of the Quality & Food Safety strategy for PepsiCo bottlers
Align regions, MUs, corporate entities, plant departments on Quality & Food Safety Initiatives
Assess field capability and develop action plans to develop weaknesses and leverage strengths
Perform audits to ensure requirements are met
Partner with NAB cross-functional partners to support respective regions and NAB holistically
Monitor and react to the sanitation category and microbiological compliance
Ensure standard lab is assessed, implemented and maintained
Work with colleagues to assess, develop and execute strategy for beverage sector standardization
Technical Skills Required:
Computer literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong Analytical Capability
Understands statistics and can coach statistical principles
Microbiology and sanitation background
Understands GMP requirements in supply chain operations
Deep regulatory knowledge within the US and Canada
Deep technical knowledge of the beverage industry process
Towering strength and ability to use numbers and metrics, not opinions, to dive into fact-based changes
Ability to challenge operational paradigms through technical knowledge
Leadership Skills Required:
Proven leadership of complex product portfolio and supply chain
Experience leading cross-functional teams to identify and develop strategies to improve capacity and throughput in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Manage external vendors, contractors, consulting partners across multiple sites to execute quality and food safety initiatives

Partner with raw material and packaging suppliers to ensure Quality materials through enhanced Quality & Food Safety Systems
Work with company-owned, franchise, joint ventures, partnership and contract manufacturing operation leaders through building strong professional relationships and influencing skills to drive continuous quality improvement
Compensation and Benefits:
Bachelor of Science in Food Science or Chemical Engineering or related field
Min of 15 years of food, beverage, dairy experience
10 years of experience in quality, food safety-related functions
Technical Skills and Certifications as Strong Assets:
Certified Quality Engineer
Certified as Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
Certified Quality Auditor or Quality Manager
