Responsibilities

Responsible for translating the clients business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.

The individual selected for this position will support the Sponsor in overseeing administrative activities related to acquiring and delivering social media learning content, to oversee and participate in course development of both live and digital learning opportunities, converting existing training, updating offerings, and providing training on social media evaluation and forensics for delivery on multiple platforms.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for working with the Sponsors organization and external stakeholders to validate training and best practices and facilitate the logistics for hosting Community events and conferences. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans related to multiple aspects of social media training
  • Conduct periodic needs assessments or baselines related to social media training, at the Sponsors direction
  • Coordinate with Communication Officer to create and disseminate information about the courses, learning opportunities, and events; to include drafting official communications (program calls, course advertisements, etc) and brief Sponsor components on events and programs
  • Provide input to Instructional Designers related to development of Sponsor led online and classroom courses/events and materials for new and existing course/events, including but not limited to:
    • Working with stakeholders to conceptualize and propose new courses that fit with the social media strategic framework
    • Research and propose external/commercial curriculum design/develop/instruction opportunities toad to the social media and open source curriculum
    • Provide input as needed in support of instructional designers, graphic designers, and web developers in developing and delivering learning opportunities (classroom courses, conferences, online modules, videos, podcasts, etc.)
    • Solicit input form subject matters experts to ensure course content is up to date and relevant to the needs of key Sponsor offices

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and critical thinking skills (analysis, judgement, research and compilation)
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Camtasia, and PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to synthesize information from various resources
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Knowledge of Sponsors software asset management and total asset management regulations
  • Contract administration experience
  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
