Cox Communications is seeking to hire a Project Management Specialist who will assist our Small Cell Project Managers in managing multiple, ongoing small cell projects. You will interact with Customers and Suppliers and the you must be able to deliver regular updates in a concise and timely manner. You will also facilitate communication across operational boundary partners and ensure compliance with the defined processes and implementation.

Tasks include preparing Work Orders and requisitions and monitoring ongoing engagements. Be familiar with project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures, estimating, tracking, and reporting; providing internal & external customer communications, procurement, quality control and compliance assurance as necessary; and ensuring that projects are completed within budget.

You must have a proven background in wireless / small cell deployment projects and be able to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities. The candidate will also need to be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Advanced Excel and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: *

- Project manage one or more aspects of small cell deployment, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; maintain and monitor project plans /schedules and project costs in SiteTracker.

- Estimate, monitor and track project budgets and expenditures, including initiating Work Orders, Engagements, and change orders; oversee vendor invoicing and project close out, as well as initiate billing based on payment schedule.

- Work directly with small cell Suppliers to prepare and manage Work Orders, invoices and change order requests

- Work closely with functional business divisions, project managers, Customers and Suppliers in defining project priorities, approach and timing of deliverables.

- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve self and team operating protocol, decrease cycle times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.

- Analyze communications and requests from customers, support departments, and contractors to determine what course of action is necessary. Update appropriate management team and stakeholders on project status. Communicate project requirements to other departments.

- Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings; document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.

Qualifications: *Minimum: *

- 2+ years of wireless telecom project management experience with emphasis on small cell and ROW deployment and construction

- Working knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, asset management, maintenance, development of methods and procedures

- Working knowledge of budgeting, purchase orders and invoicing

- Demonstrate carrier relationships (AT&T, T-Mobile, Dish, Verizon, Other)

- Demonstrate Customer service orientation with a strong and creative problem-solving approach

- Strong skills in MS-Project, Visio, Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required, with the ability to become proficient in other software tools as needed.

*Preferred: *

- Knowledge of OPTIX, SiteTracker, Granite, Workforce Logic, UET Remedy and/or other project databases

- Knowledge of telecommunications industry and wireless services

- Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communication skills, integrity, sound judgment and decision-making ability to all organizational levels. The ability to modify the messaging appropriately to various technical, managerial, and leadership audiences is critical for this position.

- Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
