BRANCH DEVELOPMENT

The Branch Development division at Edward Jones hires, trains, supports and develops the branch team to deliver the ideal client experience. As the key connection between branches and the home office, youll play a vital role in driving positive results in the core profit center of the firm and in gaining critical insights that shape our business.

Here, youll help branch teams grow both their clients and their leadership skills, providing innovative thinking to continue evolving our training, development, recognition and rewards in ways that best engage our unique branches.

*Project Leader, Branch & Region Development*

Branch and Region Development (BRD) is part of the Branch Development division and is focused on leading, developing and partnering with regional leadership and areas across the firm to support the evolution of the firm while continuing to achieve business objectives based on unique market and region opportunities.

The Region Business Plan Project Leader in BRD is responsible for leading one or more of the workstreams within the Region Operating System which include Region Business Planning, Objective Setting Calculator, Region Key Measures and Region Roles. This is done with direction from Region Steering groups and/or business owners inside and outside of BRD. This individual will define and maintain processes and procedures for effective project management and lead cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with other divisions. They will partner with business areas and stakeholders to define and outline project objectives, plans and measurement criteria and is responsible for monitoring, tracking and communicating progress to ensure completion of stated objectives.

*Job Requirements:*
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
* 3+ years of experience leading projects and /or programs
* 3+ years of industry or position-related experience
* Excellent project leadership and management/mentorship skills
* Ability to lead and execute project deliverables in alignment with key priorities
* Ability to think strategically and use judgment to identify solutions to problems that may put project deliverables at risk
* Ensure project schedule, scope and quality objectives are met by monitoring, using metrics and controls to track progress, taking corrective action and escalate issues when necessary
* Project management certification (PMP and/or Edward Jones) preferred within one year of assuming the role

* Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to sr. leaders, project teams, key stakeholder, and outside vendors.
* Ability to prioritize resources and initiatives with strong organization and time management abilities
* Ability to Influence without authority throughout the firm
Span of Influence:
* Span of Influence: High degree of influence of various programs/projects and the coordination of executing these efforts with outside areas
* Processes or systems developed may be used for several years, so impacts of performance and decisions could be significant and possibly long-term.
* Affects and interacts with all levels of the firm. They are in frequent contact with partners, leaders and associates in other departments and divisions.

Decision Making:
* High degree of decision-making authority: achieving deadlines, making exceptions and approvals related to resources and expenses
* Make and communicate complex decisions and/or recommendations with consideration for risks, impacts and other options. Some decisions may be in gray areas where little or no guidance is available.

Problem Solving:
* Problem Solving: Ability to think strategically and use judgment to identify solutions to potential problems that could project deliverables at risk.
* Will be expected to identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate and/or resolve issues that impact moderate to large scope projects and across multiple stakeholder.
