Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Using a holistic approach, the Project Manager manages the designs, development, evaluation and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. The Project Manager will provide programmatic, strategic and technical guidance to the client management on their projects, requiring insight into overall details within the program. Generates requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition. Participates in design reviews to ensure applicability to the current system. Reviews and possibly execute test plans/procedure and ensures they meet the objectives of requirements.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Assist management with establishing the strategic direction of the project.
  • Gather and vet requirements for development and/or system engineering efforts, ensuring the requirements are complete, unambiguous and concise
  • Participate in engineering review boards and other technical forums, and facilitate effective integration of technical solutions.
  • Prepare project documentation and schedules for milestone briefings.
  • Facilitate internal and external communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide highlights and written documentation of team accomplishments and concerns.
  • Track project commitments and ensure timely preparation of responses.
  • Prepare briefings for appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical information into terms that are applicable and understandable to customers/stakeholders at multiple knowledge levels


Qualifications

  • Customer domain experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills ensuring that all correspondence is timely, polished, and accurately represents the customer. Uses confidentiality and discretion when coordinating correspondence, respecting privacy and sensitivity issues.
  • Individual must be highly organized and able to maintain an accurate schedules
  • Candidate must be proactive and show good judgement and discretion. Individual will support the office by serving as the point of contact for various client programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customers needs, multi-task, work autonomously, take the initiative to provide creative alternatives to intractable challenges or systemic problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment co-located with multiple contractor and customer teammates

Education

  • Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or
  • 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or
  • 7 to 9 years with PhD.

  • -TS/SCI w/POLY
