Qualifications REQUIRED:- Requires 8 to 10 years with B.S., 6 to 8 years with M.S., or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
- Must have and maintain an active TS/SCI with Poly.
- Experience with GEOINT, SIGINT and/or COMM systems and overall space and ground architecture.
- Experience with trend analysis for root cause of failures and anomalies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior government customers and the ability to influence within multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Good customer teaming skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Adaptability and experience with interaction on-site with the government customers.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and ability to lead technical forums.
DESIRED:- Experience with core Systems Engineering Disciplines (Requirements, Schedule, Risk, Readiness, System Closure, VV&T, etc.).
- Technical knowledge of spacecraft components, ground architecture hardware, and software.
- Familiarity with the Intelligence Community, and associated government agencies.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Tools.
Responsibilities Project Engineer IV Mission Assurance:The primary objective of this Intelligence Community (IC) contract is to provide integration and closure; foundational system engineering processes; mission assurance; service management; Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); & Verification, Validation and Transition (VV&T) systems engineering and technical support services to an Intelligence Community customer that will enable it to execute its responsibilities efficiently and effectively while ensuring mission success.
Peraton is looking for a passionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Mission Assurance Engineer to join a dynamic, innovative team that ensures risk management, quality, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements in accordance with contractual requirements. As part of the Mission Assurance team you will be responsible for supporting and advising on both space and ground systems throughout the contracts process through standards development, into design.
Responsibilities also include ensuring analysis and feedback of operational data is provided to programs through various working groups and targeted alerts, as needed. You will interface with senior members of program offices, directorate and offices, as well as operators at various ground stations as Mission Assurance responsibilities span the entire engineering lifecycle. Mission Assurance supports multiple Mission Threads and provides horizontal cross-mission capabilities and integration.
The Mission Assurance team monitors the state of the Space Industrial Base (SIB) as it affects IC programs:- Brokers collaboration, and assesses risk and opportunity mitigation projects with other agencies as necessary;
- Facilitates and participates in technical exchanges addressing critical technologies, infrastructure, materials, and suppliers; influences and impacts technical planning guidance to support Industrial Base (IB) health and viability;
- Administers the IC IB Working Group, which includes preparing briefings, capturing results, and updating decision making documentation.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Analyze trends in anomaly root cause analysis that potentially affect other programs.
- Publish best practices to avoid and manage anomalies in the future.
- Organize and conduct periodic anomaly related conferences and deliver summary reports to the customer.
- Immediate alerting of anomalies that potentially affect other programs.
- Analysis of trends in anomaly root cause and in the collection process.
- Publish best practices to avoid and manage anomalies in the future.
- Outline, propose, and track mitigation activities such as revisions to standards, or specialized technical studies.
- Ensure that Mission Assurance products and services are visible, relevant, and a trusted source for mission development, execution, and success across the enterprise.
