Responsibilities

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs a variety of project administration support services involving data review, reporting, project coordination, budget review, and other related duties in support of the Project/Program Manager. Provides support to the Project/Program Manager in planning, managing, and monitoring projects through its life cycle. Works on overall project planning through reporting on project schedules and deliverables. Briefs management on the status of action items and metrics to track contract performance. Coordinates projects; develops system for data collection, reporting criteria and records; researches and compiles statistics and data for projects; may assist in writing narratives for reports. Monitors project timeline; tracks document submissions; creates, monitors and maintains audit files. Identifies, communicates and resolves risks. Identifies and resolves issues to eliminate or mitigate the occurrence of consequences that may impact the success of the project. For program compliance, designs and implements procedures to fulfill project objectives and criteria; may prepare memorandums; works with agencies to resolve concerns and issues. Prepares monthly variance reports with associated footnotes. Evaluates and monitors the performance and efficiency of programs to ensure that program implementation is on target.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects.
  • Integrates and analyzes project/program plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met and all stakeholders and key parties are kept appraised.
  • Participates in problem solving with Project/Program manager, group managers/leads, developers, and customers.
  • Develops appropriate electronics and hard copy reports and records and ensures compliance within the company and customer requirements.
  • Represent the team in weekly meetings with the customer to provide status on current projects, receive feedback on completed projects, and solicit inputs on future projects.
  • May represent the organization with outside organizations.
  • Provides direction to support staff and less experienced professional staff.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop project requirements, scope, and timeline.
  • Assists with the development and tracking of program/project plans including resource planning, schedules, estimates, and status reports.
  • Interpret and administer policies, processes and procedures that impact the program/projects.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Collaborate across a matrixed team to ensure schedule, technical performance and quality performance are met.
  • Work with the development/architecture team, project manager, and customer to prioritize and resolve any roadblocks to delivering assigned projects on time.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Assist with the creation of monthly reports and develop ad hoc reports as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with BS/BA, preferably across IT projects in a DoD environment.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions.
  • Ability to make process improvement recommendations and willingness to lead improvement initiatives.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good computer and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on a self-initiated basis (independently) as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be Customer-focused.
Colorado Salary Minimum: $41,870.40 Colorado Salary Maximum:$89,523.20 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees.
