What Youll Do
As a Programmability and Automation Content Developer, youll help us develop industry leading training for a variety of technical education offerings to Cisco customers, partners and employees. Your primary focus is to work with the larger team creating training focused on bringing Network Engineers and Software Developers together to create solutions using the programmability and automation capabilities of Cisco solutions. Youll create educational content related to Ciscos broad portfolio of products to educate customers, partners and employees in the benefits and usage of the programmability and automation capabilities of Ciscos products. You will function as a Subject Matter Expert working with multiple teams to design, develop and review training course content, exercises and labs.
Were looking for someone who can lead the design and analysis of Award Winning Digital Learning and Instructor led training courses. You will use your creative genius to design learning solutions that can teach through both self-study and instructor/mentor formats.

Who you are
You are passionate about programming and software development and want to help people evolve and learn new skills in the ever expanding and evolving IT industry and beyond. Detailed orientated when appropriate with the ability to step back and assess the larger picture. You enjoy collaborating with a distributed team around the world.
Experience wed like you to have:
5+ years of software development experience
Experience with Python, Go, PHP, Node, C++, or Java
Proficiency in using REST and other API interfaces
Understanding of Software Development methodologies
Experience implementing Continuous Development / Continuous Integration
Direct application of automation and configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc
2+ year of Linux system administration experience
5+ year of using revision control systems like Git, Subversion, or Mercurial
Passion to learn new things and teach others the new things you have learned
Great if you have:
Experience with Cisco hardware and software solutions
Cisco DevNet Associate, Cisco DevNet Professional and/or Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist
Contributed to an Open Source Project or have published personal project on GitHub/GitLab
Understanding of networking and Cisco networking and software products
BS/MS/PH.D in computer science, mathematics or equivalent
