Job Requirements


The Willows Program Manager is responsible for managing and directing the activities of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policies, goals and objectives. This position contributes to the hospitals philosophy, objectives, education, and quality improvement efforts, while collaborating with the Medical Director, R.N.s, L.P.Ns., MHTs and Program Therapists. The individual, along with the Nurse Manager, will be responsible for the development and evaluation of all programs and sub programs on the Willows unit. The Willows Program Manager is responsible for performing a variety of direct clinical duties in the inpatient setting. These include but are not limited to, group, individual and family treatment modalities. He or she is responsible for making sure that clinical staff perform thorough and accurate psychosocial evaluations, developing and implementing master treatment plans, and providing for appropriate discharge planning/aftercare referrals. The Willows Program Manager demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with both clients and staff. He or she understand the documentation requirements and complete these requirements in a timely fashion. Excellent judgment and clinical skills are essential for this position. The individual is responsible for his or her own clinical growth through the attendance of inservices, presentations, and other continuing education activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a Masters degree in a clinical field such as social work, psychology, or marriage and family counseling. A license or certification in a specialized field is required.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to communicate on an effective level with both clients and staff from a variety of disciplines
