Responsibilities

Perspectas Intelligence Group - Space Programs is searching for a Vice President responsible for leading, directing and driving business results in support of the United States Air Force.

The Vice President will serve as the program manager for the systems integration program of a large, multi-segment space and ground acquisition. The Vice President will oversee a management team tasked with delivering the full life-cycle systems engineering solutions to a growing and innovative set of mission capabilities and diverse technology programs. The Vice President will be responsible for the growth and new business in this dynamic environment. The Vice President will have continual interaction with the customer and deliver progress and financial reports to the Perspecta CEO and leadership team. This includes developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing strategic business plans; understanding the business concerns and issues faced by the customer; and building and delivering business solutions that delight the customer.

The Vice President will manage a technical team executing the systems integration functions associated with delivering on-orbit capabilities in a rapid and agile manner, demonstrating all key technologies and capabilities of a complex enterprise, and providing a clear path forward for future capabilities with incremental technology insertion. The Vice President will be responsible for the ground development and delivery of multiple separately developed ground capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, and multiple projects, through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Shaping and capture of follow-on business associated with air Force Space customer scope and support to new business pursuits by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.
  • Management of a 200+ person organization and the oversight of multiple ground development programs.
  • Technical liaison with developers.
  • Oversight of the organizations proposal process and coordination with corporate pricing, contracts, security and human capital.
  • All phases and aspects of the program budget and financial execution.
  • Staffing plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
  • Assigning resources and provide technical direction as necessary to complete task.
  • Monitoring of contract, subcontract funding; preparing forecasts of program financial performance.


Qualifications

  • 18+ years of development experience with government space/ground segment/systems engineering environments
  • 10+ years SE&I experience including space/ground architecture, requirements, IV&V, experiments, transition to operations
  • 10+ years programmatic experience managing large complex space/ground development/SE&I contracts including emergent technologies (i.e. radar systems, optical systems. communications systems, resiliency capabilities etc.)
  • Knowledge or expereince with AFSIM - preferred.
  • Industry recognized leader in the area of space/ground and technology
  • Successful management of programs with greater than $150M in revenue and TCV over $1B
  • Successfully managed subcontract developers delivering on cost and on schedule
  • Strong business acumen with profit and loss responsibility, demonstrated strategic thinking proven to move organization forward in terms of financial growth and customer impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex business issues including experience in budgetary planning and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in holding their teams accountable for performance, including delivery to customer, financial, and workforce management (i.e. recruitment, staffing, retention and promotion of top talent).
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
  • Masters degree in an engineering or technical subject
  • Certifications commensurate with area of study and experience (ESEP, PE, PMP, etc.)
  • Active TS/SCI is required
