Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 to 7 years of job related experience or Master's Degree plus 3 to 5 years of job related experience is required
• Program financial analysis experience is required
• Managed services contract experience is required
• Advanced Excel proficiency is required
• Costpoint experience is strongly preferred
• Cognos experience is strongly preferred
• Hyperion experience is preferred
• Government contracting industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring for a mid-level Program Financial Analyst to perform research and study subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs.
• Prepare reports of findings and recommendations to management.
• Develop and implement fiscal operating policies and procedures.
• Develop, maintain, and establish operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment.
• May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit, division or brand.
• Define and develop key performance indicators
• Analyze and interpret financial and operational performance, and tracks key operational objectives and strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and profitability of the business units.
• Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making financial decisions.
• Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
• Review and analyzes monthly corporate and business unit financial statements, and quarterly and annual financial data in support of the SEC filings, as well as preparation of internal management analyses.
• May also coordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.
• Research new policies and regulations and projects the effect that the same could have on the Company and its financials.
• Responsible for evaluating the risk in portfolio decisions, forecasting potential losses, and deciding how to curb potential losses and volatility using diversification, currency futures, derivatives, short selling, and other investment decisions.
• Instrumental in helping clients minimize or eliminate financial risks that could be detrimental towards business goals.
