We have an opportunity for a Program Analyst to work within our Insurance Solutions group, which proudly administers the AARP Medicare Supplement Program, a division of Medicare & Retirement. This role can be based in Horsham PA, Minnetonka MN, Wauwatosa WI or any UHC office. It can also be available as a telecommute role.

The Program Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Business in articulating and evaluating business opportunities while factoring expected value and translating those opportunities into actionable projects. The primary focus is to gather all relevant information by, creating thorough Idea Expansion, documents to facilitate approvals.

""

By building strong relationships across the organization, the Program Analyst works with others at every level to solicit input to business objectives, needs, opportunity, and value. You will use your Business Analysis, Project Management, and Project Documentation skills along with strong communication skills to be an active participant in making processes better for all. This role requires flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and situations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in Portfolio team discussions, advise on process and subject matter, use experience to offer ideas

  • Create Idea Expansion Documents by evaluating the business opportunity and clearly defining and documenting critical information

  • Work with appropriate business partners to:""

    • Understand and articulate the business strategy / opportunity

    • Document the current state of the business (capability or process in question)

    • Define the end state of the business after the strategy / opportunity is implemented

    • Identify the Minimal Viable Product or Products (MVP) by leading working sessions with Business Owners and stakeholders, delivering specialized documentation / diagrams, ensuring agreement on scope

    • Document required features

    • Facilitate stakeholder negotiations

  • ""
  • Support program, portfolio, and project efforts through active partnerships, ensuring alignment of business objectives and IT solutions
  • ""
  • Validate strategic alignment between efforts and the organizations strategic objectives

  • Be the concept person, adapting to fill in the gaps where there is no black and white solution

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Project Management or Project Documentation
  • ""
  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting results
  • ""
  • Experience with workflow and evaluation of business processes (process improvement experience)
  • ""
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and / or inaccurate information
  • ""
  • Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • ""
