**Job Title:** Professional-Network Design Engineer


**Job Description:** Design engineer and manage capacity of edge network nodes. Apply tools and engineering principles to create network infrastructure in accordance with approved guidelines.


**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**


Responsibilities may also include working with Labs, product development, and engineering teams to actually author process documentation, methods, procedures, and guidelines for current network planning, capacity management, and network builds. Coordinates and interfaces with internal and external customers to ensure service commitments are met. Uses engineering tools, various software applications, and databases to assist in creating the engineering documents. Create and provide inventory output files to support the installation of the physical equipment, Virtual Machine (VM), Virtual Network Function (vNF). Prepares / oversees cost/benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installation, problem resolution, and multivendor product integration. May provide initial implementation support of networks to assure proper execution and provides resolution for system failures or degradations. Provide project management and documentation as required. Job Contribution: Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and ATT technologies.


Education: Typically, a BS degree in Math, Science or Engineering preferred or equivalent related network experience.


Experience: Typically requires 8-10 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role. Minimum 10 years Technical Expertise and Certifications to include: AT&T AIC, NC, SS7, Mobile Broadband Data and Voice. Cloud infrastructure and software technologies.


Supervisory: No.


Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.
