Technical Product Owner - CPXE

Ciscos Customer Experience (CX) organization is one of Ciscos fastest growing teams, and the Customer and Partner Experience Engineering (CPXE) group is redefining how Cisco delivers value to our customers & partners via our product portfolio. The Customer Experience Application Engineering Group is looking for a technical product manager to drive customer outcomes and be a part of this high-impact team.

What Youll Do

As a Technical Product Manager (TPM), you will demonstrate your strong functional and technical knowledge, proven product delivery track record, and customer success experiences to help drive next generation cloud application and deliverables. You have the right attitude to partner with a team of architects, engineers focused on making our customers successful. You possess an outstanding blend of pragmatic customer deployment experiences, and strong engagements with all cross functional partners.

  • Partner with Product Management and Architects to create capability/feature level and technology to achieve a given set of goals and outcomes.
  • Articulate feature requirements and acceptance criteria to the development team in terms of user objectives, user personas, and scenarios
  • Evaluate product usability and responds to user feedback both by altering the backlog priorities and by verbal or written communication with the end users
  • Use quantitative data to advise feature prioritization and design decisions
  • Collaborate with other leaders across functions to create a consistent and unified digital customer experience
  • Responsible for important metrics against outcomes, including usage and engagement metrics, organic search traffic and cost savings/avoidance as a result of these self-service support experiences
  • Prioritizes and leads the engineering team backlog
  • Understands and evangelizes product, individual, and team success
  • Responsible for communicating lessons learned, and supporting a culture of learning
  • Experience delivering customer focused experiences.
  • Ability to tailor communication style and level of detail to various audiences
  • Capability to drive alignment of partners across organizational lines
  • Ability to impact and influence without authority
  • Excellent social skills to build positive working relationships
  • Talent to synthesize disparate feedback into common trends and action items
  • Desire to use business acuity to prioritize actions that will drive business results
  • Technical competency to understand the implementation underpinnings enough to be a productive collaborator with technical leads
  • Persistence to overcome obstacles by resolving issues, regardless of team and reporting boundaries

  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity
  • Aptitude to acquire relevant domain knowledge
  • Required to work in a matrixed environment

Who Youll Work With

You will be part of an application engineering team responsible for overhauling the way customers and partners interact with Cisco. The team develops forward-looking applications, solutions and services across cloud, desktop, and mobile platforms. This is an outstanding opportunity to drive an innovative roadmap for next generation applications and cloud services in big data analytics, machine learning, and advanced visualization.

Who You Are

You love solving problems, enjoy collaborating and communicating with internal and external team members, and are adept at leading all aspects of the technical setup for projects, tools, and infrastructure. You are a strategic problem solver that can look at the big picture, abstract customer needs and drive technology roadmaps and product features.

  • 10+ years technical product or equivalent experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working with Digital Experience, Customer Success applications.
  • Possess a data driven attitude, with exceptional critical thinking skills, demonstrating analytics, reporting and analysis
  • Understands how to translate strategy into technical requirements and technical requirements into customer centric solutions
  • Metrics and results oriented with a continuous improvement approach
  • Product Manager/ Owner role experience or equivalent working in an agile/iterative environment.
