The Product Operations Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of go-to-market and post-launch plans for IMS portfolio key initiatives. This role will partner closely with the IMS product and business, as well as across broader COX organizational boundaries to ensure that all goals and milestones are met. This role will report to the Director Product Operations and Commercialization and will be instrumental in building out readiness practices, processes, and success measures across the Cox Automotive Product organization.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a combination of product management knowledge, operational knowledge, stakeholder consultation, user experience, and project management skills. He/she must also be able to build and lead strong cross-functional teams that drive a shared future vision, collaborating and guiding the work of teams of product managers, professional services and project teams, and implementation teams to ensure a successful launch occurs for our clients.


* Product Launch Leadership: Lead development, communication and execution of comprehensive product commercialization strategy including go-to-market and post-launch plans.

* Product Readiness: Work across organizational boundaries to ensure that all go-to-market goals and critical milestones are met. Lead commercialization stakeholder meetings and communicate status, drive accountability and decision making. Manage program risk by identifying and communicating issues as well as mitigation plans to all levels including leadership and recommending solutions.

* Operational Readiness: Drive operational readiness to ensure that the product is able to be properly marketed, sold, contracted, installed, trained, billed, supported, analyzed for utilization and canceled. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders around key activities.

* Defining Success: Works with the Business Leadership, Product Management, Product Marketing and Change Management to ensure success of product launches can be measured and achieve business goals. Suggests ideas for improvement.

* VOC: Keeps the voice and perspective of the customer present throughout the entire lifecycle of the product. Facilitate, capture and use of team member and client feedback. Promote client-centric value propositions and positioning to inform commercialization strategy.

* Training and Support Alignment: Aids Change Management to ensure that marketing, training, sales, client care and operations have the facts to effectively plan for, train and support new products and solutions being delivered.

* Process Improvement: Drives processes that elevate our go-to-marketing planning and ensuring operational readiness for product launches. Champion continuous improvement using innovative ideas to increase effectiveness.

* Communication: Effectively uses persuasion and negotiation techniques with boundary partners. Builds networks of support for ideas and/or initiatives. Synthesizes information quickly and tailors messaging to audiences. Able to represent Cox Automotive at high-profile and/or public events.

* Change: Ability to drive change and create team alignment. Sees the connection point across initiatives and calculates the impact to adoption. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to ongoing changes.

* Travel required up to 20%


* Bachelors Degree with 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

* Experience in project management. PMP or similar certification a plus

* Experience in Agile or Scrum

* Proven experience in operational and change management

* Experience in customer expectation and relationship management

* This is an Individual Contributor position.
