What Youll Do

As a Product Marketing Manager, youll focus on the Telco Cloud technology stack, the critical cloud-native subscriber management applications, and the emerging telco application edge space within the Mass Scale Infrastructure organization. You will be responsible for crafting, implementing, and executing a global marketing plan across the following customer segments: communication service provider, cable, media, public cloud providers, and enterprises with national private WAN. This role will generate customer awareness, increase customer consideration, drive a customer evaluation, accelerate customer adoption, promote customer advocacy, assist in sales enablement, and drive demand through coordinated campaigns. You will be responsible for leading new product introduction and working in a cross-functional team across the company.

Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the history for NFVI, service provider industry, application development and lifecycle, application orchestration, and application analytics across residential, cable, wireline, and mobility domains and deployments. In this role, you will creatively position and differentiate outbound market activities that articulate customer business outcomes to energize strategic customer decision-makers, sales, and partners.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Build a global product marketing plan
  • Develop product messaging and positioning given an understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape; ensure alignment with all relevant corporate messaging
  • Document market problems and opportunities and promote customer personas, user stories, and business cases
  • Creation of foundational-marketing materials, including customer- and sales-facing product and solution collateral
  • Help promote the adoption of utility and subscription-based licensing models
  • Drive social media marketing activities and campaigns, as appropriate, including blogging, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Build strategic product communications plan to ensure consistent messaging and proper frequency across all marketing touch-points, including field marketing, partner marketing, executives comms, public relations, and analysts relations.
  • Represent product teams in major corporate events, initiatives, campaigns, and ensuring that all relevant products and solutions are included in overarching messaging and all suitable outbound materials.

Who You Are

You are an experienced marketer or sales engineer and with extensive experience in the networking industry. You have a strong knowledge of the industry landscape and the challenges and opportunities presented to partners in this time of digital transformation. You are a skilled writer and communicator who can craft messages that encourage and engage the audience. You understand data-driven digital marketing and why its so crucial to todays business for everyone. Youve helped execute modern marketing campaigns, focusing on customizing messages to multiple customer segments and personas. You are good at multitasking; you can quickly and calmly adapt to the changes that happen with new product introductions and launches. You are creative and love working with people. You are also an effective collaborator who is comfortable working in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment with many partners at various organization levels. You can expertly prioritize and maintain focus on the things that will add the most value to the business.

Minimum Skills:

  • Customer-facing experience in product management, sales, or marketing.
  • Good understanding of Operator and Service Provider drivers, challenges and typical operations
  • Strong storytelling skill with the ability to translate sophisticated and complex technical features into clear, compelling, and memorable stories
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a focus on messaging and positioning, 10+ years total experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, or related fields
  • Some travel required (<20%)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Prefer experience in Cisco, Juniper, Google, Amazon, Nokia, or other networking and application platforms companies.
