What You'll Do

Are you passionate about helping Ciscos sellers succeed? Are you a great storyteller who can translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand content? Then you may be the right candidate for this position.

You will need an overall knowledge of the technology industry and market trends, an understanding of the seller audiences, and be able to monitor and report on the competition. You will be expected to build highly impactful content targeted at the seller audience, relative to Ciscos exciting new Enterprise Networks technologies. Responsibilities include;

  • Work closely with and develop lasting relationships with key internal stakeholders (internal sellers, global partner sellers, regional and local marketing, solutions marketing, product management, and technical experts) to understand the market landscape and build targeted content.
  • Confidently present marketing strategy and relay product and solution value to executive and seller audiences
  • Develop enablement strategy based on business and sales priorities and help team successfully execute on the plan.
  • Build content to support new product and feature launches including playbooks, videos, presentations, use case content, seller guides, and other collateral
  • Measure and report on the success of your programs and content, making recommendations on future improvements
  • Drive launch activities for our internal seller audiences which include: launch plans, seller messaging, communication and awareness strategy, sales enablement content creation, launch events, global sales events, metrics, and engagement tracking.
  • Contribute to the global marketing community in your given topic area and serve as a subject matter expert to the sales, partners, and regional marketing.
  • Track general business indicators, including market share, attach rates, competitors marketing, and sales program activities.
  • Analyze and develop differentiation against competitors.
  • Have excellent organization skills.
  • Work with marketing communications or directly with agencies for final content creation and production.

Who Youll Work With

The global Customer Solutions Marketing organization, and the Enterprise Networks and Cloud product marketing team are passionate about Ciscos Enterprise networks, hybrid cloud, and data center portfolios, which represent Ciscos core business. Youll be working with some of the smartest sales and marketing folks to show how the network and the cloud are driving the future of Digital Business.

We deliver clear, simple, and enticing messages and content targeted at Ciscos internal and partner sellers, while coordinating marketing efforts across the globe by partnering with our regional and extended marketing teams, the Worldwide Sales organization, the Global Partner Organization, the business units, and other stakeholders.

Who You Are

You are a creative marketer who will support the transformation of how Cisco talks about its Enterprise Networks and Cloud software and hardware solutions by crafting engaging content to communicate Ciscos story and drive awareness, excitement, enablement, and demand. Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of professional content writing and marketing experience in the technology industry (either B2B or B2C). Examples will be requested.
  • A good understanding of the seller audience (IT Sales experience is an advantage), seller challenges, and seller drivers.
  • Comfortable collaborating with sales leadership
  • Broad technology awareness with an understanding of networking and data center concepts
  • Appetite to learn and solve problems
  • Self-motivated and has the ability to empower and influence others.
  • Ability to collaborate, lead and work in a fast-paced matrixed organization.
  • An established track record of developing impactful marketing content from conception through to execution.
  • Experienced in copywriting and editing whilst adhering to brand and tone of voice guidelines.
  • Experienced in all stages of crafting a successful content campaign i.e. planning, strategy, execution, and distribution.
  • Comfortable working with global/regional/local colleagues as part of a physical or virtual team.
