Purpose of the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager with proven success with SaaS and PaaS products and services, driving product awareness and growth by developing and articulating engaging and meaningful stories. 

The successful candidate will be customer obsessed with an ability to take product details and shape customer facing, market leading messaging and content.  Responsible for initiating and leading various go-to-market initiatives including market and user research, competitive analysis, product positioning and messaging, content creation, sales enablement.

Responsibilities and duties 

  • Product proposition, messaging, and positioning
    • Develop a deep understanding of our products, value proposition, competition, target customers, target user and buyer personas
    • Create and manage product messaging frameworks, and establish the most compelling use cases and stories in our target sectors
    • Be a product evangelist across the business, especially sales, to increase knowledge and capability to pitch our products to customers and prospects
  • Product marketing content
    • Produce and maintain required product collateral to support sales, customers and marketing demand generation activity e.g., videos, datasheets, ppts, white papers, battlecards etc.
    • Review use of collateral to ensure engagement and continued use, update and optimise to ensure all content remains current
    • Drive awareness activities to drive understanding and usage, e.g., internal comms, drop-in sessions etc.
  • GTM planning and execution
    • Help define the companys go-to-market (GTM) plan for our cloud based products through effective research and analysis
    • Support regional marketing to execute demand generation activities to drive product KPIs
    • Develop sales enablement programs by conducting sales training sessions and delivering recorded product demos
  • Competitive benchmarking and pricing
    • Conduct market and competitive research to build competitive intelligence including producing battle cards and other sales tools
    • Continually refine our market positioning vis a vis competition
  • Analyst relations
    • mobile products and their value proposition
    • Seek market and competitive insights and feed back to Product Management and the wider business
  • Product Marketing tools
    • Manage and optimise existing tools such as competitive intelligence and sales enablement content
    • Educate internal teams to demonstrate the value of the tools and encourage adoption and usage
    • Analyse and report monthly on usage, working with suppliers to integrate best practices and drive best in class platforms
  • Experience, qualifications and technical knowledge
  • Must have at least 4 years of proven product marketing experience in a high growth environment at enterprise B2B SaaS/PaaS companies
  • Degree level education in a technical discipline such as computer science / engineering
  • Proven experience in being able to bridge the gap between product development and sales/market messaging
  • Fresh, original, and critical thinking abilities with capacity for quick decision-making in complex scenarios
  • Effective written and spoken communication; strong storytelling and presentation abilities
  • Excellent Stakeholder management skills, ability to influence
  • Self-driven, motivated, and passionate individual who is results driven
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Can do attitude, and hands-on approach
  • Strong team manager to manage and develop 2x product marketing managers, and ability to collaborate across marketing, product, sales etc teams
