*Role Summary*
The Product Manager of interoperability and integration is responsible for managing and driving the development and implementation of new network topologies/configurations, system integrations and process changes necessary to converge several Cox Business services to a shared internet access circuit and local area network. Currently Cox Business portfolio of business services (voice, video and data products) are deployed behind dedicated WAN connections and physically separate local area networks. Cox Business plans to converge all services to a shared wired and wireless LAN topology. We are seeking a product manager to solve technical and process challenges to launch an updated networking topology that will scale and meet the requirements necessary to support majority of the product portfolio. The product manager will partner with product line managers, product marketing and operations to evaluate the existing Cox Business product portfolio and roadmaps to devise and maintain a multi-year "interop" roadmap for targeted customer segments.

Provides continuous and visible leadership for current product performance and future development and deployment plans; Models passion and drive for change and/or enhancements to satisfy customer needs and optimize customer experience through product innovation and/or improvements to internal organization, processes and technology; Recommends resources to address/balance customer needs; Negotiates issues with peers and 1st level Mgmt. to synthesize ideas and solutions that impact operational results.; May be responsible for product program(s) that involve single to multi-year plans; Develops, or provides guidance to develop, innovative solutions to highly complex matters.

*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions*

* Responsible to deliver activities and tasks necessary for successful product development and launch projects and achievement of business objectives. Contributes to planning, budgeting, resourcing and monitoring results.
* Manage and review allocated budget and actual spend for product development and lifecycle activities.
* Developing as leader with respect to project development, team interactions, business insights and product management.
* May generate business insights which guide product solutions.
* Identify customer expectations and unmet needs with product and services to innovate and create solutions that address gaps and enhance customer experience. Directs product features from ideation through deployment.
* Analyze customer, business and product performance metrics and interpret underlying drivers to translate into data-based recommendations.
* Develop a documented product vision which aligns with and/or enhances customer needs, market and competitive trends and corporate strategy.
* Translate vision into clear and defined business requirements to drive functional specifications and technical requirements.
* Facilitates communication amongst project leaders, peers and relevant department and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment and awareness of current product state and vision.
* Monitors developments within the industry, vendor community and technology trends and considers these in light of product roadmaps.
* Research customer needs to further the organizations objectives. Directs investigations of areas of considerable novelty and importance for which precedents are lacking in areas critical to the overall product program.
* Is consulted by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on his/her interpretations and advice.
Qualifications: *Minimum *

* Strong working knowledge of OSI model and related LAN administration technical skills (VLANs, TCP/IP, subnetting, network security technologies, VoIP, SIP, RTP, DHCP, DNS, GPON, Fiber, DOCSIS, WiFi, SD-WAN, QoS, 802.1p, PoE, 802.11x, NetFlow)
* 7 or more years of experience required in related field (e.g. Technology, Marketing, Process Improvement, etc.)
* 5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
* Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
* Strong understanding of telecommunications B2B market and associated technologies with LAN, WLAN, DOCSIS, GPON and Fiber.


* BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g. Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
* CCNA, CCNP or other related network professional certifications
* Experience in telecommunications or high-tech environment
