The Product Director - Pre-Event will play a critical role in defining, designing and executing on the development of the new product portfolio that addresses provider out of network issues with a focus on out-of-network avoidance. This position requires a motivated self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.


Core functions of the product manager includes prioritizing, developing, and maintaining product roadmaps, defining product features based on external and internal needs, working with strategy, operations and development teams to deliver functionality, reporting on product performance, and communicating with users and stakeholders across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall product management of patient-facing Pre-Event offerings including performing market research, opportunity analysis, and program feature definition

  • Identify, launch, and execute pilot programs, in cooperation with health plan partners, as appropriate

  • Drive out-of-network Pre-Event capability standardization & operationalization through definition of a Pre-Event identification system and Pre-Event case management system

  • Work closely with internal subject matter experts to define standard processes, analytics, user tools, and reports to convert successful pilot/hypothesis programs into efficient ongoing processes through use of data, analytics, and technology

  • Define and manage product features from ideation to development.

  • Think holistically about the product objectives, user needs, and user efficiency. Be able to formulate and execute on plans.

  • Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders including operations, technology, marketing and product leadership.

  • Define integration approach and requirements with core service offering/platform

  • Other responsibilities, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years minimum of product management experience
  • 3 years minimum working with a managed care organization or health insurer

  • 2 years minimum of experience Agile development
  • Intermediate efficiency in MS Office: Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Market Planning experience
  • Data analysis and/or claims system experience
