We need committed, enthusiastic and driven scientists, pharmacists and engineers to join us in delivering our goals.



Situated in Co. Kildare (30 minutes south of Dublin), Pfizer Newbridge is an integral part of the global solid oral dose network; manufacturing tablets and capsules for world markets using highly complex specialised processes. This site has been an established leader in the supply of medicines for over twenty-five years and is currently expanding its portfolio.



The Technical Services team is recruiting for colleagues to work with us at this exciting time for the facility.



We support the commercial supply and technical transfer of products using a wide range of technologies including Process Analytical Technologies and Advanced Process Control. We continuously improve and enhance our facility through the execution of complex projects introducing next generation manufacturing processes. We have a pilot scale plant (the Technology Innovation Centre) with the capability of carrying out development at 1kg to 50kg scale across all principal unit operations. We work in a fast-paced environment where continuous learning and personal development are actively encouraged.



The Process Excellence Lead will be become a member of the Technical Service team supporting one of the manufacturing areas onsite. The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert in a manufacturing area who drives for process robustness and excellence to ensure robust supply of medicine to patients worldwide.

**The role will include the following responsibilities:**



+ Accountability for all technical aspects of the process in a manufacturing area - including manufacturing and cleaning process development, robustness and validation.

+ Identify best practices to support process improvements within the Pfizer network and implement to support process robustness.

+ Design of trials and development work using statistical methodologies and latest best practices.

+ Development and execution of validation strategies (cleaning and process).

+ Coordination and management of projects including process development, technical transfers, process and cleaning validation. Demonstrated track record of timely project completion.

+ Interpretation of data and trends to drive decisions and actions.

+ Approval of change controls and deviations from a process impact viewpoint and support commercial release of batches through technical investigations

+ Promote an awareness of best practices and new technology to ensure that Pfizer continues to lead the industry in innovation and new breakthroughs. Implementation of these new technologies at Pfizer Newbridge



The successful candidate should be able to identify and implement change the business activities and step change process improvements. They will deliver continuous improvement projects using six sigma and lean methodologies



The successful candidate will be fully self-directed and will be recognised as having a high level of knowledge and / or skill in solid oral dosage manufacturing. They will act as a coach to Technical Services Specialists and to the wider team working in the manufacturing area.



**Qualification Requirements:**



Educated to degree level in Science, Pharmacy, Engineering or a related discipline.

Advanced degrees are an advantage.



Significant experience in the Pharmaceutical industry preferably in solid oral dosage manufacturing and development.
