Job Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) team is looking for a Senior Analyst who is analytical, data oriented and has intellectual curiosity to understand processes within various functions of PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) Business Process Control Organization. The Process Automation Senior Analyst will be leading various automation initiatives, provide analytics and work group solutions that enhance productivity and eliminate or streamline labor intense work.


  • Manage portfolio of BI solutions and be responsible for delivery of all project tasks and outcomes
  • Partner with internal customers to assess needs and design solutions to improve efficiencies by automating repetitive processes; improve controls through standardization of workflows
  • Provide end-user technical support and performance-tune BI applications as necessary by resolving system issues for ongoing sustainability of business-critical finance related period-end processes as well as a various PBNA functions (sales, marketing, global procurement, etc.); potential for periodic on-call duty supporting existing BI applications and services
  • Review and update documentation for all application standard operating procedures
  • Lead requirements and scoping sessions with business partners to understand, define and anticipate business needs; create data and quality assurance reviews and direct stakeholders/customers in quality testing to ensure requirements have been met and design is optimized for functionality and performance
  • Interact with Sector Headquarters and Division locations on system improvements utilizing new tools & approaches; provide enhanced analytical capabilities; perform complex calculations on large data sets
  • Interact with numerous BI tools such as SharePoint, Office 365, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software such as UiPath and/or WinAutomation, or Roboyo, MS SQL Server Services including SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, MS Visual Studio .NET framework, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, MS Excel and/or Access using advanced Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Support migration of SharePoint 2013 on premise to SharePoint online environment including custom built Power Apps and Power Automate (Flow)
  • Manage work request queue in accordance with team Project Management Office (PMO) policies and internal ticket tracking BI Support Center; ensure requests are addressed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the team on required day to day support
  • Participate in and lead continuing education training seminars/classes in areas of technical expertise


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in either a technical (I/T) department or as a liaison between I/T and Finance
  • Analytical experience or equivalent business intelligence experience in support of the finance or accounting function
  • Certification in Project Management, a plus
Skills & Capabilities:
  • Experience in project and change management with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Analytical mindset that can define or identify a problem, generate alternatives or potential solutions, evaluate, provide recommendation and implement the chosen solution
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and techniques to support a rapidly-changing landscape of customer needs
  • Experience in the area of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using various robotic software such as UiPath, WinAutomation, Roboyo as well as management of RPA governance
  • Proficient in Office 365 online environment including creation of new SharePoint sites, using Power Apps and Power Automate (Flow); building custom views and familiarity with available apps
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2013 including site creation and maintenance; customization of web parts, workflow and other process automation techniques
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint Designer and ShareGate tool used for SharePoint migration
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) in a relational database environment including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 including site creation and maintenance; customization of web parts, workflow and other process automation techniques
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint Designer and ShareGate tool used for SharePoint migration
  • Advanced Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) skills including macro creation, debugging and deployment; ability to work with large data sets; MS Access database creation & deployment in accordance with standard database design principles
  • Understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) in a relational database environment including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase; ability to run queries and interpret results
  • Experience in SQL Server and capable creating and using Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, creating Sub-Queries and Joins for complex queries involving multiple tables and Exception Handlers
  • Familiarity with Data Extraction, Transforming and Loading (ETL) using various tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Data Transformation Services (DTS)
  • Experience with basic reporting solutions and tools such as SAP Business Objects. Ability to become familiar with visual analytic tool as well as data mining software like Monarch (Datawatch), ABBYY, and other business intelligence tools and applications
  • Experience in cloud computing including Microsoft Azure
  • Trained in ASP.NET, JavaScript / jQuery / JSON
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Visio/PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of QuickBase, a plus
