We know youve got choices as an experienced architect, so why work for Cox Automotive? Besides being a privately held company thats been in business for over 100 years, Cox Automotive is a respected industry leader. We arent in "maintenance mode." Were innovating, and we know our employees are our most valuable resource!

Do you live and breathe data? Does your mind constantly identify opportunities and solutions for automation of business processes and life, in general? Can your strengths help organizations discover untapped or underutilized data and build performant and measurably valuable data sets? Are you one of those rare technologists with the business acumen, consultative communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to help guide the design and continuous improvement of our differentiating data sets and services? Do you have a good mix of breadth and depth of knowledge across various domains?

If the answer is "yes" and you meet the qualifications, then the Enterprise Architecture team would like to talk to you!

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in the Atlanta office.

You will lead architecture for the Vehicle & Transactional Data Sets Release Train within the Cox Automotive Enterprise Data Foundations Delivery Stream, providing guidance and leadership to several Delivery Teams. This position reports to the Enterprise Data Foundations Delivery Stream Architect. As a part of the Release Train Core leadership team, the Release Train Architect works with Engineering, Product, and Agile leaders to align Agile Delivery Teams to a common technological and architectural vision of the solutions underpinning our core products: data and information delivered as services and composed data sets. You will participate in defining the architectural styles and patterns necessary to deliver the functional and non-functional requirements of proposed products and features, validate solutions, identify risks and dependencies, and evaluate alternatives through hands-on research, discovery, and prototyping. You will support solution development through providing, communicating, and evolving the greater technological and architectural view of the solution. You will frame solution alternatives in both technology and business terms, ensuring that business decisions are not made in isolation of their technical implications, and vice versa.

The right individual will balance product solutioning with hands-on technical capabilities and extend their broader leadership capabilities to the larger community of engineers and product ownersaligning various stakeholders to a shared technical direction and strategy.

You will be expected to work very closely with product engineering teams for the first few months, to understand opportunities and help shape the vision for the Release Train. As you help mature the delivery of core capabilities, your collaboration, mentorship, and technical guidance will enable those who deliver value by empowering them to increasingly make local decisionsaligned to the overall Cox Automotive architectureproviding a faster flow of incremental value and favorable economics. Being able to slice traditionally larger data development and technical initiatives into smaller and incrementally deliverable chunks of value is key for success in this role.

* Analyze Release Train technical debt and advocate with Product and Engineering for business-appropriate technical debt management; contribute to Delivery Stream and Portfolio-level technical debt analysis

* Collaborate with Delivery Teams in refining solution designs and technical approaches into an achievable implementation, and provide guidance on requirements
