Who You'll Work With

  • Works with Cisco business leadership to identify the business needs of the customer
  • Works to establish trusted advisor status relationships with key stakeholder in customers and partners
  • Establishes regular contact with key Cisco functional stakeholders including Business Entity (BE), Customer Experience (CX)
  • Demonstrate the impact of the SE team on the business (quantitative and qualitative metrics)
  • Manage a team of highly skilled Pre sales Engineers
  • Be a string Upstart and agile
  • Work closely with the Sales leader for driving the business

What You'll Do

  • Drives operational perfection across the three pillars of Technical, Business and People Leadership
  • Is an active member of a Segment, Architecture, Partner or Graduate Leadership Team.
  • Represents the SE community: is a spokesperson for and inspires all Systems Engineers in their team.
  • Proactively manages a team of hard-working SEs while employing innovative methods to improve team performancesuch as coaching, mentorship, and sponsorship development program participation.
  • Helps meet regional revenue goals by driving technical programs and overseeing daily account activities.
  • Enables sales by supporting new and existing opportunities through collaborating with key customers as a technical and professional advisor.
  • Builds and sustains contacts within Cisco BEs, strategic technical resources, and between larger industry partners.
  • Understands how his/her SE team directly impacts the business evidenced by qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Optimizes the use of virtual resources to deliver commitments and get results.

Who You Are

Ideally you would have:

  • Overall 14+ years experience with minimum 7-8 years field technical sales experience as a Systems Engineer or related field experience with customer interaction
  • Has a solid understanding of the overall Cisco portfolio and key competitors or one or more architectures (Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, Data Center or Security)
  • Seeks out opportunities to present at customer, industry and external forums
  • Provides regular feedback to internal Cisco entities e.g. BE, CX, Escalation Resolution contacts
  • Seeks out opportunities to sponsor a diverse set of candidates in their organization
  • Consults and establishes trusted advisor status within the sales leadership and account teams
  • Builds, mentors, and coaches team to drive efficiency and improves business value
  • Develops expert understanding of Cisco architectures and services
  • Develops advanced mentoring skills
  • Builds vertical knowledge and knowledge of industry trends, new developments, and Cisco acquisitions
  • Attains a minimum Level 2 Business Architecture status
  • Understand the Customer Lifecycle and possess knowledge on adoption
  • Desired with candidates who have knowledge on software selling and support
