What You Will Do

We are looking for a high caliber, multidimensional Software Platform Engineer to help us grow our Software Asset Management (SAM) practice.

Platform Admin Tasks:

  • Provide end-to-end technical solution for Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS)
  • Scope spans all areas of configuration, applicable IT interfaces, extracts and extensions utilized by Flexera in configuration with existing discovery tools in the environment
  • Accountable for overall testing of Flexera, and configuration elements and for producing test script documents to support testing outcomes
  • Ensure traceability of solution back to requirements and proactively include measurement and reporting
  • Act as the lead in support of selected modules, extensions, and platform upgrades
  • Fix advanced networking, security, and data integration and collection issues in FNMS
  • Ensure all components and functions are optimized, including the Product Use Rights Licenses (PURLs), deployment beacons, and that data tables are reporting accurately
  • Load validated license purchase order details into FNMS
  • Install, configure, optimize, and support Flexera App Portal
  • Conduct analysis and reporting of contractual entitlements and mapping in the Flexera tool suite
  • Build software license compliance reports using FNMS
  • Ensure entitlements are accurately linking to deployment data

Who You Are

Requirements / Skills:

  • BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in an IT role, 2+ years working experience on Flexera AppPortal application (version 2015 and up)
  • Experience on Flexera App Portal installation/upgrades/patches - leading system grade on Flexera App Portal
  • Must have experience on Flexera App Portal API integration and Web Service
  • Should have solid knowledge of integration with FlexNet Manager System (FNMS) Service Now, Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager applications (SSCM)
  • Working knowledge of software license management and optimization
  • Hands-on experience in a Linux environment
  • Comfortable working with IIS app servers
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the capabilities of new technology/trends, and adapt to business needs
  • Build, maintain documentation, knowledge articles and other artifacts for the latest changes in processes
  • Inform and share App Portal usage and software request standard methodologies with new users
  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Capable of working independently to goals and deadlines with light leadership oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills"
