Join the OptumRx Sales and Account Management Team as a Pharmacy Account Management Intern and help us create an outstanding experience for our pharmacy benefit clients. Learn the ins and outs of the complex Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry while helping our clients manage the cost of prescription medications and ensuring members have affordable access to the medications they need.  You will help ensure that our front line account executives have the support they need to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.

**This intern position (full time 40 hours/week) will be available during the summer of 2021**

 Primary Responsibilities (may vary based on placement): 

  • Support client needs to ensure seamless operations of the pharmacy benefit
  • Partner with strategic account executives to manage the day-to-day needs of our clients
  • Proactively evaluate client plan benefit performance and facilitate improvements
  • Develop meeting agendas and content for client meetings
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Marketing, Reporting & Analytics, and Product to support new business pipeline growth strategies and client retention strategies
  • Coordinate communications between teams involved in projects and/or ongoing client plan administration activities
  • Opportunities include supporting communications, competitive intelligence, training initiatives, data and reporting and new business efforts
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate as part of an internal team
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
