PGIM Agricultural Investments (PAI) is a business within PGIM Real Estate, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial, Inc.  Leveraging a 100 year history in agricultural equity/real estate management services and lending, Prudential's agriculture business provides equity management services and lending in the agribusiness sector throughout the United States.


With the combination of new funding and current and new investment mandates, PAI will soon be approaching $1 billion invested in Western United States agriculture.  PAI is seeking to expand the investment and asset management team by hiring an Investment Operations Analyst in our Fresno, CA location.

This position will report directly to the Senior Asset Manager for the PAI Western Region and will work with other investment staff throughout the company.  This role will support multiple aspects of the business including asset management and operations, marketing & research, and acquisitions as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Track monthly water usage (surface and well water) and assist with monitoring of annual water budgets.

  • Track crop yields and provide ongoing updates in season for crop yield forecasting.

  • Assist farm managers and accounting with the development of crop operating budgets and capital improvement budgets.

  • Assist with reviewing monthly variance reviews of crop operating budgets and evaluation of year to date performance for monthly operation reporting for senior management.

  • Assist with development of weekly or monthly reporting on operational matters for clients.

Marketing & Research:

  • Conduct various industry research and analysis projects including assisting with quarterly commodity marketing updates and annual commodity newsletter.

  • Assist with development of client marketing material as well as client reports as needed.


  • Assist with the acquisition of new properties as needed, including assisting with the business evaluation of properties and completion of due diligence process including on-site inspections.


The individual we are seeking must be highly motivated with a blend of several abilities including excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills as well as an ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.  In addition to the analytical skill set, the individual must have good interpersonal skills with an interest in networking and business development, a major responsibility for eventually becoming an Investment Professional. The candidate must have a strong desire to learn, and the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment. Some travel may be required.




  • 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • B.S.  in business, agricultural finance, economics, or equivalent curriculum required.

  • Unquestioned integrity.

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to customer service

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, excellent presentation skills, and highly effective analytical skills.  

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Personal Computer Skills (Advanced Excel and Word).
