Prudentials Alternative Assets Group (AAG) is a unit of the Chief Investment Office, which conducts asset and liability management and portfolio construction for all of Prudentials domestic and international business operations.  The Alternative Assets Group is responsible for managing over $10 billion in assets, comprised of private equity and hedge funds, as well as real estate and other investments in real assets.

 

The Performance Analytics and Reporting team within AAG is seeking an investment performance analyst to join the team. The team primarily supports the Alternative Assets Group but also supports the firms Impact & Responsible Investing team which invests in operating businesses and real assets that combine social impact and financial return. The position reports to the Head of Performance Analytics and Reporting. The candidate will be expected to:

  • Assist in the calculation and reconciliation of performance for individual investments, portfolios, and benchmarks;
  • Perform validation checks to ensure the quality and accuracy of return calculations, and resolve data discrepancies in a timely manner;
  • Manage the flow of data from external sources as well as from internal systems;
  • Assist in providing essential investment data and benchmarking information;
  • Support the production of accurate and timely periodic performance reports;
  • Assist in the operational due diligence of existing and potential new investments.



Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required;
  • Pursuing CIPM designation preferred;
  • 1-4 years of investment performance and/or investment accounting experience;

  • Sound understanding of equities, fixed income securities, and alternative investments;

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict reporting deadlines;

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills;
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
