As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking aPayment Posting Analyst to join our growing team in New Jersey. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing physician-led care locally. Work with the largest care delivery organization in the world and start doingyour lifes best work.(sm). The Payment Posting Analyst position is responsible for, but not limited to processing electronic and manual remittance transactions, posting complex payment and contractual adjustments to patients accounts. Reconcile cash transactions, electronic remittance files, credit/debit card and ACH payments and works closely with the billing and collections managers to resolve posting problems.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Process ERA and manual payments and adjustments as assigned
  • ""
  • Interpret, evaluate, and clarify research requests to determine potential payment issues
  • ""
  • Perform extensive primary and secondary research in order to locate missing EOBs and insurance payments for posting to accounts
  • ""
  • Payment batch reconciliation
  • ""
  • Use of appropriate denial and adjustment reason codes for accurate reporting
  • ""
  • Research and apply unapplied cash balances
  • ""
  • Review EOB and forward claims that need correction and appeals to collections team
  • ""
  • Apply knowledge of contractual insurance reimbursement rates and bring any variances in payment to the attention of the management team.

  • Regularly meet with management team to discuss and resolve issues or billing obstacles

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • 2+ years experience posting electronic and manual payments, preferably in a physician group setting.
  • ""
  • Complete knowledge of insurance processes, coordination of benefits, claims processing
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
