Sodexo Healthcare is seeking a Patient Service Manager 2 for Franklin Square Medical Center located in Baltimore, Maryland.  This a 390 bed facility with caring for patients in the community with emergency needs, cancer treatment, family medicine, and women's center. The Patient Service Manager will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of 100 FT and PT FOH and BOH MedStar employees, 2 Sodexo Managers, and 3 MedStar Lead Supervisors. Typical shifts ranage through all meal periods with rotating weekends and holidays, occasional overnight service.

The Patient Services Manager 2 will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • perform tray and cart assessment to ensure food quality, presentation, correct portioning and meal accuracy;
  • be a hands-on manager providing direct support to the operation;
  • lead patient floor rounding, cart checks and driving patient engagement and patient satisfaction;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met. 

The ideal candidate:

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has an eye for details and a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company. Key Duties- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports. 




Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 yearsBasic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
