Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager 1 for Lehigh Valley hospital Cedar Crest.  Lehigh Valley hospital Cedar Crest is a 900 bed trauma unit, the largest hospital in 7 facility network.  The PSM 1 will oversee the \"At Your Request\", (AYR) Room service meal service program that is provided to all patients.  The call center for three hospitals located at this facility. Will complete tray audits and manage the part-time employees and sanitation staff on some shifts. Position will report to the Operations Manager 3 at the account.

 

Position will cover all shifts including 2:00pm to 10:00pm.  

 

We are looking for candidates who can:

  • Implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve patient satisfaction
  • Monitor patient tray operations and daily meal rounding
  • Interact with patients and the nursing staff
  • Perform HR functions including hiring, orientation, training, payroll and direct supervision and development
  • Maintain safety documentation and training for unit

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
  • Strong management skills, preferably in health care
  • Strong team building and employee engagement skills
  • Strong hospitality focus - be engaged and interactive with all our customers and employees
  • Strong drive to make things happen
  • Knowledge of best practices in food safety
  • Experience maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, including Ecosure, Gold Check Operating Standards

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.Key Duties- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
