This position supports 8 providers with average daily visits of 150. Patient-facing and mission critical, this individual is the first to greet our patients. This role includes all aspects of the front office duties, including referral authorization processing, check in, check out, appointments, billing, and patient outreach.

*Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. With possible extended hours on weekends 9-5.*

Primary Responsibilities:

""
    ""
  • Greets patients as they arrive/ Coordinates patient flow
  • ""
  • Collects co - payments, co - insurance and deductibles and issues receipts
  • ""
  • Manage and submit daily request for referrals/authorizations in a timely manner
  • ""
  • Work with providers and staff to ensure completeness of documentation to facilitate the referral/authorization process
  • ""
  • Assist physicians, as required in coordination of care for patients
  • ""
  • Contact IPA and Health Plans to ensure prior approval requirements are met
  • ""
  • Assemble information concerning patients clinical background and referral needs, per referral guidelines and provide appropriate clinical information to specialists
  • ""
  • Review details and expectations about referrals with the patients
  • ""
  • Point of contact for patients who raise questions and concerns about referrals/authorizations
  • ""
  • Works collaboratively with Centralized Services to support patient needs
  • ""
  • Establish and maintain relationships with service providers for patients coordination of care
  • ""
  • Provides high quality care and service excellence to our patients
  • ""
  • Participates in a variety of department initiatives
  • ""
  • Ensures all OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations are followed. Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficiency in Practice Management System
  • ""
  • Knowledge of billing, coding and insurance processes
  • ""
  • Basic computer skills
