Description

Aramark Canada is hiring for an Office Administrator, who will assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and reports to ensure that information is processed in a timely manner while complying with Aramark protocols and  policy / procedures.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for weekly financial statement preparation
  • Sales: Verify bank deposits and sales report from POS system. Reconcile sales in Aramark accounting system
  • Expenses: Provide support to data entry clerks and oversee invoice entry process to ensure expenses are accurately recorded
  • Review of Sales and Purchase Summaries
  • Issue accounts receivable invoices for catering department
  • Oversee inventory count entry for all components
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts
  • Perform audit with Finance Manager
  • Assist in planning and organizing the accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of financial information including month end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and other analysis
  • Assist in enforcing internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
  • Performs period end P&L (level) statement review, analysis of variances with Weekly Operating Report and preparation of adjustments as required. Enter journal entries in
  • Provides budget process support as required
  • Oversee payroll administration including bi-weekly payroll submission, changes to pay rates, union dues, meal allowance, and other deductions
  • Other duties required by management for eg. occasionally have supervisory responsibilities in the dining hall to manage food service operations 

 

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, Accounting etc.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, with skills in managing daily operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collection
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, practices and procedures
  • Strong analytical, process management, problem-solving skills and technical accounting knowledge are necessary for success in this role
  • High degree of attention to detail, very organized and ability to multitask 
  • Some managerial experience would be an asset 
  • Proficiency within MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint), with strong Excel skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Based on business needs, the position will required flexibility to work on some weekends and / or weekday evenings
