The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, direction and administration of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. He/she administers treatments as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. He/she assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Provides supervision for licensure for Occupational Therapy Assistants

Job Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

Eligible for or holds current Occupational Therapist License to practice in the State of Oklahoma required.

BLS required. First Aid certification preferred.

Crisis Prevention training (TEAM) required within 6 months of hire (PRN -N/A)

Successful completion of National Registry Examination by the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Proof of valid NBCOT certification from Oklahoma or eligibility for certification in Oklahoma

Minimum of 1-2 years experience inpatient rehab or acute experience preferred.

Recent graduates who have applied for the licensure examination may be considered for provisional appointment.

Must successfully complete the Pre-employment Assessment.

Basic computer skills required.
