Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a Nurse Manager, who will be a dynamic member of the Nursing Leadership Team. Responsibilities include coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objective, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. At least two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: Must possess demonstrated leadership ability, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, strong oral and written communication skills. Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, limit setting, behavior management, and crisis management of aggressive behaviors. Thorough knowledge of the Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.

Training: Successful completion of CPR Certification, Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures.

May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
